MOTORISTS and commuters from southern Cebu are warned not to use the Cebu South Coastal Road (CSCR) tomorrow.
The Talisay City Government will close part of the CSCR to make way for the annual Gullas Run and bike race.
Engr. Almond Dela Peña, operations head of the City of Talisay Traffic Operations and Development Authority (CT-TODA), said they will close three lanes of the highway, particularly from Cong. Antonio Bacaltos Sr. Ave. to Rabaya St. junction in Barangay San Roque, from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tricycles and jeepneys from Tabunok headed to the city interior will be allowed to enter the CSCR but only during intervals, Dela Peña said.
He advised motorists, particularly bus riders headed south, to brace for slow-moving traffic as only the northbound lane of the highway will be open to two-way traffic.
He said he will deploy more than 20 traffic enforcers on the race route and on the main highway.
