FOUR women and two men were caught in separate operations by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas in Cebu City and Minglanilla on Thursday morning, October 19.
Operatives seized 60 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," was seized from the suspects. The contraband is worth P325,000, an estimated market value.
At 5 a.m., Dominador Ycoy, 28; Jannabee Rama, 26; and Dennis Sabella, 29, were arrested in Barangay Buhisan, Cebu City, yielding 35 grams of shabu worth P175,000.
An hour later, PDEA agents caught Lizel Rama, 28; Lovely Cañares, 21; and Precy Pacure, 40, in Barangay Tunghaan, Minglanilla.
Agents seized 30 grams of shabu with an estimated market value of P150,000.
PDEA-Central Visayas information officer Leia Albiar said Ycoy and Rama were the main targets of the operations, adding that these two suspects have been listed as high-value targets.
Suspects will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
