3 abandoned babies seek parents, kin

Thursday, December 07, 2017

THE Asilo de la Milagrosa is looking for the parents or immediate relatives of the three babies who were left by their birthmother at Asilo de la Milagrosa on Gorordo Ave., Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

Parents and immediate relatives of these babies are requested to immediately visit or contact the center and look for social worker Risa Johanna N. Neri from Monday to Sunday at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or call at (032) 232-2443.

Failure to come to the Asilo de la Milagrosa within one month beginning today would mean declaration of the child’s abandonment for adoption through the Department of Social Welfare and Development pursuant to Republic Act 9523, or An Act Requiring the Certification of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to Declare a Child Legally Available for Adoption before they can declare a child to be “legally available for adoption.”

The Asilo de la Milagrosa is a licensed and accredited child-caring agency dedicated to the service of babies, toddlers, children and youth whose families are unable to care for them due to death, sickness, poverty and other social situations.
