AT least 150 street cleaners will be fielded by Cebu City’s Department of Public Services (DPS) for the Sinulog grand parade.
Department of Public Services head Roberto Cabarrubias said that the street cleaners will start collecting trash after the parade or around 6 p.m.
Some 40 eco-stations will also be set up in Barangays Luz, Mabolo, Hipodromo, Carreta and Tejero.
“Last year, we gathered 155 tons of garbage and we hope to lessen it to 100 tons,” said City Environment and Natural Resources Office head Nida Cabrera. (Trisha Oliveros, USC Intern)
