Drug personality yields P4-M ‘shabu’

ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives caught a 38-year-old drug personality at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, in a raid on Noreco Road in Barangay Mangnao, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

Suspect Orson Villegas, 38, yielded 53 packs of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” that weighed 800 grams.

The contraband has an estimated market value of P4 million.

Drug paraphernalia and P27,670 cash believed to be the suspect's proceeds of illegal drug trafficking.

The operatives who implemented the search warrant are from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas and Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office.

In Cebu City, police arrested Elmer Ollamas, who yielded P57,500 worth of shabu.

Forty-five minutes later, Connie Melljon Tuto Catayas were caught in Barangay Yati, Liloan.

Police said Connie is a high-value target, while Melljon has a pending theft case before a Mandaue City court.

In Barangay San Vicente, Liloan, police also arrested drug suspect Jay-R Daitol. (KAL)
