RUN for Sight Foundation and Cebu Doctors’ Group of Hospitals celebrated the spirit of Christmas by bringing joy to the children of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last Jan. 7.

Headed by Dr. Potenciano Larrazabal III, Run For Sight Foundation founder, the activity gathered nearly 200 children from different barangays through the help of personnel of San Carlos Doctors’ Hospital and Larrazabal Eye Group.

The event started with a gift-giving of 200 pieces of toys for boys and girls, 200 pieces of balls, 100 pieces of sleeping mats, 200 pairs of slippers, and more than 200 packs of candies to the delight of the children.

The event continued with a feeding program that served nearly 300 people.

To complete the program, the event ended with various parlor games that were enjoyed not only by the children but also by the parents and staff.

This yearly event aims to bring joy to Filipino children and to be a reminder that whatever situation they may be in, there will always be someone that is ready to give love, hope and care.

The event was made possible through the help of the sponsors, namely, Dr. Pek-eng Lim, Dr. Yong Larrazabal and family, Arnold and Liza Choachuy, and Zenaida Larrazabal.
