WHAT could be the last list of new parish assignments of 36 diocesan priests under the term of Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal’s has been released through the official archdiocesan newsletter “Ang Bag-ong Lungsoranon.”
Included in the transfer is Msgr. Jose Dosado, who has been assigned as team moderator at the St. Joseph the Patriarch church in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
Dosado’s previous assignment was as parish priest of St. Vicente Ferrer parish in Bogo City.
Last year, Dosado was caught on video blessing the campaign paraphernalia and pictures of then Bogo City mayoral aspirant Mariquita Salimbangon-Yeung placed on top of the church altar.
He was allegedly reprimanded by Vidal for “desecrating” the church’s altar, which Canon lawyers say is reserved only for holy objects used for the celebration of the Mass.
The church sanctuary was sealed off for a few days and the altar had to be re-consecrated.
Dosado will be joined by Fr. Joselito Danao, who was assigned at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Basak, Mandaue City, and Fr. Constantino Navales Jr.
