Limitless sky

JENNIFER Lopez or “JLo,” the New York-born dancer, singer and actress is of Puerto Rican descent, and reportedly demanded $2 million as her professional fee during her Manila tour last week at the Mall of Asia.

I wonder if she got her other usual demands as well. The Net lists her as among the celebrities known for “outrageous demands while going on tour. Getting JLo to commit to perform means as well providing her everything else in white--couches, tablecloths, flowers, candles--all in a 40-foot trailer that’s also white.

If white is not her favorite color, JLo probably appreciates white for its symbolic
meaning--purity and cleanliness.

The stress on cleanliness bears repeating, but when it becomes a fixation, it can raise eyebrows and temperatures, especially for the providers for singers, song writers, record producers, actors, musicians and television personalities.

Justin Timberlake, for instance, requires that the doorknobs in the room where he’s staying be disinfected every two hours.

The eccentric Prince has to have a doctor on-site to give him a B12 shot before a show. And that shot should be given on a furniture covered in plastic.

Mary J. Blige demands a brand new toilet seat installed in her dressing room. That should mirror what she thinks of other previous occupants of the dressing room.

My favorite Barbra Streisand brings the fetish on higher ground like her songs. Her toilet seat doesn’t have to be new. Only that rose petals must be floating in the toilet for her.

Beyonce wants her toilet freshly scrubbed, disinfected and adjusted to a temperature of 78 degrees, nothing higher, nothing lower.

Her husband Jay-Z isn’t into toilets, but car service. Only a 57 or 62 Daimler Chrysler Maybach is acceptable to drive and escort him to the concern venue.

Kanye West may like his women shapely like Kim Kardashian, but whatever his chauffeur wears must be 100 percent cotton, no less.

Christina Aguilera hates waiting, so she must have a police escort from the airport. Backstage, she wants a bottle of Flintstones vitamins.

Yes, food and beverage comprise other celebrities’ outrageous demands while on tour.

Paris Hilton must have a tank of live lobsters ready, and these must be prepared whenever she gets hungry.

The durable Madonna lives by her Kabala religion. This includes the special Kabala water costing $5 per bottle. Each show must have 25 cases of these ready backstage.

Katy Perry probably doesn’t like disappointments when she opens her refrigerator.

So, it must have a glass door. Also, her floor lamps must be in French ornate.

Wannabe diva Britney Spears sees a limitless sky. Aside from her $15 million fee, her demands list includes on a per day basis 10 bags of Doritos, 10 pieces of chicken, and a dozen Snickers bars. Weekly, she must have four pints of potato salad and six cases of Diet Coke. Also, her dressing room must never be empty of a dozen vases of magnolia blossoms.

Real diva Mariah Carey just wants a Cristal champagne with bendy straws. What a refreshing difference!
