Tomas is desperate-A A +A

IS citizen Tomas Osmeña politically desperate? I ask this question because of his and his Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) barangay captains’ attempt to sabotage the distribution of financial assistance to senior citizens. City Hall distributed another tranche of financial assistance to the city's senior citizens yesterday and will continue the distribution today.
In a meeting with his village chief-allies last Thursday, Tomas allegedly ordered them not to allow City Hall officials to use their barangay sports complex as venue for the distribution, saying that the activity is being used by Team Rama allies to advance their political interest for this Oct. 28 barangay elections.
His order was echoed by Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) president and city council ex-officio member Michael Ralota. Otro pod nga sipsip ni si Ralota.
Ralota claimed that a reelectionist barangay captain told him that City Hall did not coordinate with them about the activity and that their political opponents were the ones holding the list of the beneficiaries. Thus, Tomas ordered them to padlock their gymnasiums. Poor senior citizens; they are caught in the middle of the Rama-Osmeña conflict.
But based on feedback in yesterday's distribution, some BOPK allies did not follow the order of Tomas and Ralota thinking that the move might boomerang on them. Pahina Central and Bacayan, for example, allowed their sports complexes to be used.
The beneficiaries are registered voters in the barangays and any move by the BOPK to make their situation miserable might prod them to vote against BOPK allies in the barangay elections.
Earlier, Mabolo barangay captain Rey Ompoc claimed that his opponent, lawyer Daniel Arguedo, who is identified with Mayor Michael Rama, got hold of the list of beneficiaries. He accused Arguedo's group of politicking for distributing leaflets with the names and faces of their candidates on it. Ompoc said that City Hall officials did not coordinate with him on the venue because they opted to hold the distribution in the school compound rather than in the sports complex.
Guadalupe Barangay Captain Michael Gacasan shared the same sentiments. He said that his opponent, former barangay captain Eugenio “Jingjing” Faelnar, was the one furnished with the list of the beneficiaries.
I think these barangay captains are just being paranoid. Team Rama allies have nothing to do with the distribution. Firstly, the money distributed is not owned by Rama or his allies. It is City Hall money and the senior citizens know it. It just happens that Rama is the mayor so he has to monitor the distribution and ensure that it will be in order.
Did any Team Rama ally show up during the distributions yesterday?
I am appealing to Tomas and his allies to please spare our senior citizens from their
political vendetta against Mike Rama.
I am asking Gov. Hilario “Junjun” Davide III to check his facts before he opens his mouth to the media so he won’t be put in an embarrassing situation.
The outsourced employees of Carcar District Hospital complained about the two-month
delay in the payment of their salary. They are outsourced by Best Source Professional Agency. When asked by reporters if Capitol had paid the agency, Davide said yes. He explained that Capitol is not involved in the issue because it did not hire the employees.
But the following day, his chief of staff admitted to reporters that Capitol has not paid the agency because it is still waiting for the agency's credit line certification, a requirement for the bank.
Mr. Governor, sunod, sutaa gyud og maayo ang imong mga luwatan nga pamahayag aron dili tawon ka mabulilyaso. Pag-sure diha uy.
