True love, loving our fathers

A MAN married a woman dying with leukemia at the woman’s hospital bed, a moving GMA 7 Balitang Bisdak report said.

The woman later died, but the man said even death couldn’t end their love.

That’s true love, the love that goes beyond the vow to love “till death do us part.”

Twenty-six women in Italy who says they are in love with Roman Catholic priests have written to Pope Francis urging him to make celibacy optional.

“We love these men and they love us,” they said.

These women truly love our fathers.

But they should make it sure they don’t bear children of these priests. Otherwise, their children would be called clerical errors.

That reminds me of a joke about a couple who went to the bishop after failing to bear a child even with medical intervention.

The bishop merely told the couple, “Just pray. If all prayers fail, try one of Our Fathers.”

Many priests were known to have sired children. My friend proudly claims he was the son of a priest, but his father was granted a dispensation and married his mother.

He didn’t tell me if his father went to confession before he was granted the dispensation.

It would’ve been interesting if he told the priest, “Forgive me father for I have fathered.”

It seems the Roman Catholic Church is not about to let go of its rule on celibacy. So priests who want to marry have to get out of priesthood.

Priests have to be celibate. Those who got married have to celebrate.

I just wonder how priests make holy water. Is it true they boil the hell out of it?
