Series of shows on entrepreneurs to highlight Cebu business month


IN line with its theme, “Get Inspired,” the Cebu Business Month 2009 will serve as the platform for the launching of the “People Enhancing Opportunities, Propelling Leadership Excellence” (People) on June 17, at SM Cinema 1, SM City, starting at 4 p.m.

The project will be conducted in cooperation with the Commission on Higher Education 7, Philippines Foundation Inc., SM
City, GMA7, Bee Pinoy TV Channel 45, Sun.Star Cebu and the academe.

Conceived by Dr. Milagros C. Espina, CBM tourism committee chair, People is a year-long showcase that will feature undiscovered model entrepreneurs and their success stories in business, industry and the academe.

People’s prelude episode 2 will be featured during the CBM Tourism Congress to be held on June 19, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cebu International Convention Center.

During the Tourism Congress, an exhibition featuring local products and landmarks in the Province of Cebu will also be held. The exhibition will be participated in by the various local government units in the Province.

From July 2009 to May 2010, People episodes will be sponsored by University of San Jose-Recoletos, Asian College of Technology, University of Cebu, St. Theresa’s College, Zonta 1, University of the Philippines High School, University of Southern Philippines Foundation, University of San Carlos, Benedicto College, STI Mandaue and Lahug, University of the Visayas and the Cebu Institute of Technology.
