Shout out: July Santa

CHRISTMAS came early, this year. Without much nagging from Santa, the bags I’ve been eyeing for half a year already showed up at my doorstep last weekend. If you’re among the many who came and held the candy-colored luggage in Kamiseta, you’d notice their absence in the stores this month.
The good news is that they have not stopped making these pieces of girly luggage, and the better news is that you don’t have to lug your newly-purchased bags out of the store as they’re available online. Orders that fetch for at least P1,000 will warrant you free shipping. All you have to do is click on to www.kamiseta.com.
Updates on President Benigno Aquino III's presidency
Another shiny new thing, even my not so shopping-savvy BF agrees on, is a pair of Suelas shoes. “They’re all the craze in Manila,” the sales girl in What A Girl Wants was quick to share. To further prove her point, she demonstrates the lightness and flexibility of these shoes by rolling them. But the best way to road test is by wearing them all day. I have. And they’ve quickly become my official footwear as I step on the brakes just like any paranoid new driver.
If no Santa-like benefactors have jingled on the way to your direction lately, you can indulge in the seasonal clearance sales that are practically everywhere. If you find regular prices at Promod, Mango and Topshop restrictive, enjoy their mark downs this week. Over quiet lunch last Wednesday though, I’ve heard that most fashionistas have gotten into the habit of hopping on to a plane (by virtue of cheap air fares) to Manila and doing their rounds at the Forever 21 at the SM Megamall. That is definitely a must-check when I also road test my lovely luggage next month. It’s fun being a girl!
