Skycable offers digital service, new office

CABLE TV provider Skycable expects more clients with its new digital technology and a bigger full service center inside Ayala Center Cebu.

It has moved from its former location at the South Parking Area in Ayala to the fourth floor of the mall, beside other service centers such as those of Veco, Globe Telecom and Smart Communications.

“With our new digital service out this year, we are expecting more subscribers, so this service center offers everything to our existing and future customers,” said Skycable regional officer Theresa Guido.

Fourth

The center, which is the fourth of Skycable in Cebu, offers payment, new installation and customer services, among others. The other branches are in Talisay City, Mandaue

City and on Gen. Maxilom Ave. in Cebu City.

“Skycable is doing very well in Cebu with around 36,000 subscribers, both residential and business clients,” said Guido.

Skycable’s service is available from Consolacion town in the northern Metro Cebu to Naga City in the southern Metro Cebu area.

Digital

Last month, Skycable offered the digital service to its subscribers, enabling them to experience more channels through a digibox.

“Cebu subscribers will experience the highest quality signal and enjoy exciting innovations in cable TV viewing that can only be made possible with the Digibox,” said Mae Anne Yee, production and airtime sales officer of Skycable Cebu.

Subscribers get an array of shows and movies through the Skycable Platinum and Skycable Silver Subscription packages.

Tourists

Skycable Platinum also caters to Cebu’s Asian tourist and expatriate community through its Premium Asian Channels: MBC (Korean), Indian Pack (Star News, Star One and Star Gold), and Chinese premium channels (Star Chinese Movies, Phoenix Chinese and Phoenix Infonews).

Digitalization, which started on July 17, is available to subscribers from Barangay Banilad to Escario St., Cebu City.

By Aug. 20, subscribers from other parts of Barangays Banilad, Talamban and Casili will be experiencing digital services.

“To stay on top of other competitors, we are constantly upgrading our services,” said Yee.
