Lhuillier revamps lineup

DEFENDING champions M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Niños made a major revamp in their lineup for the upcoming campaign in the Liga Pilipinas Conference IV, which is set to open on April 27 in Sto. Domingo People’s Center in Ilocos Sur.
The Niños parted ways with long-serving center and Conference I MVP Marlon Basco along with Tournament of the Philippines vital players Mark Magsumbol, Hafer Mondragon, point guard Eliud Poligrates and ex-PBA player Ariel Capus.
To replace the five, coach Raul Alcoseba tapped center Angelus Raymundo and re-hired wingmen Jayford Rodriguez and Mark Abadia. Ferdinand Lusdoc and CBA’s Talisay City team Fil-Am Nic Monaco were also added.
Froilan Baguion is also set to return.
Retained for Conference IV were TOP MVP Stephen Padilla, Bruce Dacia, Mark Ababon, Richard Ian Saladaga and bigmen Franklyn Nailon, Abby Santos and Nat Cruz.
Liga Pilipinas will have at least seven teams this conference—Niños, Misamis Oriental, Laguna, Ilocos Sur, MP GenSan-Warriors, Mandaue-Cebu Landmasters. The league is still waiting for the confirmation of two other teams.
