Huge prizes dangled in Y101 run

Y101 has caught the running bug as the radio station will stage the Y101 Armscor Run on July 24 at the Asiatown IT Park.

The event, held on the same day as the Kawasan run, stakes extravagant prizes for the winners.

“We have been doing yearly golf tournaments so we decided to do a run because it has the most number of participants for any half day event so we’ll make more people happy and healthy,” said Y101 president Jack Jakosalem.

A set of unique categories—the 1.01K, 5.01K and 10.1K categories, in relation to the name of the radio station—will be offered.

The best finishers of the 10.1K Open will win P3,000 and a trip to Boracay for two with 3 days and 2 nights stay at the Midsea Express and Crown Regency Beach Resorts.

On top of that, a grand prize of a brand new Zhongshen Motorcycle awaits the fastest 10.1K runner of the race. There are also hefty prizes for the winners in the other categories and raffle for the non-winners.

The registration fee is P300 for all categories. The registration areas are at Runnr Ayala, Cebu City Sports Center and at Y101 FM on the second floor of Gaisano Countrymall Banilad. There are downloadable registration forms and detailed map of the race on y101fm.com.
