THE country’s top tennis player, Johnny Arcilla, will lead the free tennis clinic in the inauguration of the Consolacion Tennis Courts on Nov. 26 in Laray, Consolacion.
Aside from the clinic, Arcilla, who is still playing in the Southeast Asian Games, will face OTR Tennis Assica co-founder Jason Sankey of Hong Kong in an exhibition match. Local players Kennex Abadia and Israel “Rj” Abarquez will also face Graeme Foster and Adrian Montesinos in a doubles exhibition.
As for the free clinic, Cebu International Tennis Centre Inc. (CITC) president Ken Salimbangon said it is open to players between five and 18 years old and will be conducted after the exhibition games.
“There is no limit to the number of participants in the free clinic, since we will be using eight courts--four hard courts and four clay courts,” Salimbangon told Sun.Star Cebu.
Interested participants may download the form through the CITC Facebook account and submit it at the Consolacion Tennis Courts or at the CITCI office at Room 103, 18 Cherry Court Bldg. on Gen. Maxilom Ave.
