Mayweather to Arum: Make it happen
Thursday, January 19, 2012
AFTER challenging pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao via his Twitter account to face him in a super fight on May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, unbeaten American boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr. called out Top Rank big boss Bob Arum to make one of the biggest fights in history happen.
The 34-year-old Mayweather Jr. said through his Twitter account that he wants to face Pacquiao, and all Arum has to do to make the fight is to call either his adviser Al Haymon or Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Shaefer.

“I’m ready to fight Pacquiao 5/5/12 Bob Arum know the date can’t change,” said Mayweather Jr. tweeted. “I have my guarantee call (Richard) Shaefer and Al (Haymon) and stop lying to the public.”
Arum recently told The Ring Magazine website that he has a list of five possible opponents for Pacquiao and the top priority on his list is Mayweather Jr.
However, Arum wants the date of the fight to be at the end of May and not on the fifth, Mayweather Jr.’s target date.
