Eagles make NBTC finals
Saturday, January 28, 2012
THE Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles are back to a familiar setting--the finals.
And it looks like they will be in for a rematch with the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers for the right to advance to the national finals of the SeaOil-NBTC Elite League.

The Eagles defeated the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Baby Panthers, 79-61, to take the first slot in the finals of the Cebu elimination.
The other semifinal round between the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers and the Cebu Eastern College Dragons was re-scheduled to Feb. 2, instead of yesterday, since the bulk of the UV players are still in Baguio City playing for the SBP National U-16 Championships finals.
SHS-AdC dictated the tempo early, leaving behind the Baby Panthers 17-10 after the first 10 minutes of the game.
However, the Baby Panthers managed to close in at 34-33 at the end of first half.
Sensing danger, the Eagles took care of their shots more efficiently and played tough defense at the other end to break the will of USPF.
