Dodie Boy Jr. posts 8th win

DODIE Boy Peñalosa Jr. didn’t break a sweat as he easily disposed of Thai Superjames Singmanasak in the first round at the Recom Dome in Caloocan City, Metro Manila last Saturday night.
The son of two-division world champion Dodie Boy Peñalosa Sr. pushed his unbeaten streak to 8-0 with eight knockouts, while Singmanasak fell to 1-5 with a knockout.

In the co-main event, Marvin Mabait (16-0-2, 10 KOs) was declared the new RP super flyweight titleholder after beating Rey Perez (13-2, 2 KOs) in a 12-round unanimous decision.
In the undercard, former world title challenger Sonny Boy Jaro (33-10-5, 23 KOs) knocked out Samuel Apuya (7-9, 4 KOs) in the first round, while Dave Peñalosa (2-0, 1 KO) , the other son of Dodie Boy Sr., knocked out Rey Colambot (0-4) in the 28-second mark of the second round.
