Donaire guns for WBO 122-lb title today
Saturday, February 4, 2012
THE 12-round world title fight between Filipino superstar Nonito Donaire Jr. and Puerto Rican former world champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. could end quickly as both are expected to knock each other’s head off today in San Antonio, Texas.
Donaire Jr. and Vazquez Jr. almost traded punches the other day in the press conference leading up to today’s fight. Both super bantamweights exchange barbs at a customary face off after the press conference after Vazquez Jr. turned over Donaire Jr.’s cap.

“This is the same anger that Nonito had toward (Vic) Darchinyan when Darchinyan just treated him horribly before they fought. It’s also the exact same thing that he went through with (Fernando) Montiel,” Donaire Jr.’s manager Cameron Dunkin told The Ring Magazine website.
