Fajardo leads SMB in rebounds

JUNE MAR Fajardo continues to make progress in a tougher competition as he topped the rebounding department to lead San Miguel Beermen’s annihilation of Bangkok Cobras, 94-59, in the 3rd AirAsia Asean Basketball League at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City last Saturday night.

Fajardo grabbed 13 rebounds to go along with four points, an assist and a block in 14 minutes of play.

It was the third win of SMB in five games and it was the first time Fajardo had double digits in rebounding despite the limited playing time he got.

At this stage, however, Fajardo’s weakness is already apparent–free throw shooting. In five games, Fajardo had 10 attempts but sank only three of those tries. On the other hand, he is doing better in field goal shooting with 52.17 (12 of 23).

On Saturday, Fajardo will again try to improve his overall performance as SMB visits the winless Saigon Heat in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
