Football group mulls Interclub

BIGGER plans are being brewed by members of the Cebu Amateur Football Club as they host the 12th year of the Interclub tournament this summer.
The club already had its first meeting as part of the planning stage. They were able to discuss the doubling of prizes to the winning teams plus a soccer ball they can take home as a token of their victory.
It is possible that the week-long event will be covered by TV 5’s Aksyon TV as a sequel to its first coverage, which was of the Sinulog Football Festival last January.
The club is yet to send a letter of invitation, but the officials of AKTV had already asked them for an invitation for the event.
A final meeting will be attended by club members today to sort out the details for the event that brought members of the Philippine Azkals last year.
The meeting set the schedule for the tournament, which will give way to the Private Schools Athletic Association and Palarong Pambansa.
“We decided to have it later than these major events to avoid conflict of schedule so that we can get more participation from other teams and players,” said CAFC President Glenn Quisido.
