URCC warriors battle in FGC 3

TWO up-and-coming Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) warriors are seeing action in the Fight Ground Championship (FGC) 3 on Feb. 17 at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Center.

Grappler Vaughn Donayre and former pro boxer Alde De Zosa are two of the MMA fighters that are featured as the main bouts of the MMA event promoted by Back Fist Promotions.

Donayre is up against ex-pro pugilist Romilo Esfra, while De Zosa trades strikes with Adamson Torbiso.

Donayre has so far been impressive in his MMA career, going unbeaten with a 2-0 slate in the Philippines’ top MMA organization, URCC. Donayre scored a first round technical knockout over Hans Christian Lamanilao last month in “URCC Cebu 7 – Deliverance”.

Esfra, on the other hand, started his fighting career in the sweet science, wherein he was a competitor in ALA Promotions’ boxing reality show Idol. He won his pro debut against Efren Fernandez in 2007.
