MS Motosuit awards on Feb. 25

THE winners of the MS Motosuit Motocross 2011 series will be crowned in the formal awards night slated on Feb. 25 at the Teatro Function Room in Teatro Casino Filipino at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
In the same event, series organizer Lou Ornopia will also announce who will be the winner of the Rider of the Year award, which will be battled out by all the category champions.

The early favorite to win the 2011 ROY award is Expert champion Kimboy Pineda, who unseated back-to-back titlist Jon-Jon Adlawan.
The MS Motosuit Motocross Awards Night is the ultimate awarding rite for the motocross riders in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Challenging Pineda for the ROY title is the young and promising Cebuano rider John Flores, the champion in the Intermediate Class.
Pineda only had a 39-point lead over Flores, who finished second place in the Expert Class. Pineda finished with 201 points, Flores had 162, while Adlawan had 150 points and veteran Pepo Rubi was at fourth place with 142 points.
Flores, meanwhile, had a 91-point advantage over second placer Cyril Tariman with Rex Barbaso and Clark Wagas placing third and fourth, respectively.
Winning the other category titles were Cyril Tariman for the Novice Open Production title, Rey Quirol winning two titles (Local Enduro and the Beginners Production Class), Jun Enriquez winning the Executive A title, Dongkey Sanchez topping the Open Enduro Class, Gerry Sicad prevailing in the Executive C Class, Roscel Gungob dominating the Executive B Class, Jougee Basco for the Mini 85cc Class and BJ Pepito for the Peewee Class.
All champions are eligible to win the Rider of the Year award.
