SEVERAL outdoor activities are already being lined up for the Habagat Outdoor Equipment Inc.’s 25th anniversary celebration.

One will be a kayak race which they usually organized in the early 2000 along with the prestigious Carrera Habagat, which is considered as the toughest adventure race in the country.

“These are just among our activities lined up for our 25-year celebration,” Habagat’s Carl Pez said.

They are organizing the Paddle Cebu 3 Kayak Clinic, which aims to teach newbies the basics of kayaking with veteran paddler Allan Salazar on March 9 at the Queensland Resort, Lapu-Lapu City.

“We basically organized this to introduce the sport to those who are interested to learn the basics of kayaking especially since summer is just around the corner,” Pez said.

He added that this can also be a good venue for those who are also interested to compete in kayak races.

This clinic is limited to only 16 participants. The registration fee is pegged at P900 and is inclusive of the activity shirt, certificate of participation, event ID, resort entrance fee, transportation, PFD, kayak and paddle usage and Habagat freebies.

“We are limiting the participants to 16 because these are all beginners and we want to provide them with a quality clinic,” Pez said.
