The other out-of-town matches that were approved by Commissioner Chito Salud are two in Dubai held last night and tonight.
The third is the B-Meg vs. Air21 game in Tacloban City on March 3, the Powerade-Petron match-up on March 10 in Legazpi City in Albay on March 10, and the fifth is the Barako Bulls vs. Meralco game in Tubod, Lanao del Norte on March 17.
Meanwhile, the Painters are struggling in the tournament, while the Philippine Cup champion Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters got off to a strong start by beating sister team Meralco Bolts.
As of yesterday, the E-Painters are currently the cellar with a 0-2 record, while the Tropang Texters are 1-0.
Rain or Shine was playing two matches in Dubai, while TNT will shoot for its second win against the Alaska Aces on Sunday.
This will be the first time Rain or Shine will play in Cebu and will be the homecoming game of center Joseph Ronald Quiñahan, who had an exemplary performance since transferring with the E-Painters before the start of the Philippine Cup.
Quiñahan, who has been playing with four teams since turning pro in 2007, was one of the reasons for the good finish of Rain or Shine last conference.
The Tropang Texters is hoping to give coach Chot Reyes another championship run before the mentor left TNT bench to answer the call of duty with the Philippine Men’s team – the Smart-Gilas Pilipinas.
