THE University of San Carlos gymnastics team doubles up on building up a strong squad.
Head coach Carlito Paler said that as part of his goal of coming up with a competitive team, it has to start with the coach.
Paler recently finished a rhythmic gymnastics coaches’ course from the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines.
“It gives me more credibility as a coach,” said Paler.
The seminar will also give one a license as a national coach and accreditation with the national organization.
Paler, who started the elementary boys team of USC, said he is now in the middle of training a strong team in the secondary boys Men’s Artistic Gymnastics.
He is also training a squad in the girls’ rhythmic gymnastics.
“My boys team is led by Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association champion Jesus Zaragosa. We are to come up with an equally strong team in the girls division,” Paler said.
