GERALD Jacaban capped a game-long brilliant performance with a split free throw to save Qualfon Knights from another grueling five-minute extension and beat Calltek Trojans, 65-64, in the continuation of the Sun Cellular-CSCC E-League 2012 held at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym last Monday.
With the score tied at 64-all and no more time left on the clock, Calltek got the
shocker when Cedrich Uy fouled Jacaban and sent the latter to the free throw line.
Jacaban missed the first free throw, but sank the second, which was enough to give Qualfon its third win in six games.
Jacaban topscored for Qualfon with 19 points, Mari Anolito finished with 12 and Rafael Cuico contributed 10.
Aerl Genebraldo scored the game-high 27 points and Jan Pierre Gellez added 17 as Calltek remained winless after five games.

Meanwhile, Stream Global Ingenyouity showed no mercy as they handed JP Morgan and Chase Bankers a rough 73-45 beating to pick their fourth win in five games.
Former USJ-R center Edwin Bibera and the reigning Rookie-MVP awardee Sylvester Millevo led the balanced offensive of Ingenyouity, which saw no player scoring in double digits.
Bibera and Millevo each scored nine points while Joel Anthony Obungen finished with the game-high 12 points for JP Morgan’s fifth loss in six games.
Aegis Vipers, meanwhile, held 1&1 Marauders to just 18 points in the second half to score a 74-49 win.

Leading by just six points at the bend, the Vipers turned on the heat in the final 20 minutes behind the huge game of Clifford Amarado, who scored the game-high 23 points.
Dean Junber Escalon also added 12 and John Louie Arriesgado finished with 10 as Aegis improved to 5-1.
