Run for Pinoy Glory hopes to hit target

ORGANIZERS of the Cebu leg of the Run for Pinoy Glory is confident to reach their target number on race day as they stage this fund-raising event for Filipino athletes competing in London.
The run, powered by Summit, will fire off this Saturday at Fort San Pedro, and will have the presence of paralympians in the PWD wheelchair 3K category.
As of yesterday, a total of 800 have signed up with 300 running in the half-marathon.
Students made up bulk the of the registrants in the 5K and 3K including running enthusiasts from the University of Visayas, which listed the most number of participants, and the Mepz Running Club.
They are expecting more to show up on race day as they extend registration until two hours before the gun start.
