CFA materials turned over to new board-A A +A
Wednesday, July 11, 2012
THE turnover of materials from the old to the new board of directors of the Cebu Football Association was finally carried out yesterday in the CFA office in Mabolo.
Present in the exchange were former president Richard Montayre and board member Eleazar Toledo while the new board was represented by treasurer Mike Veloso and referee committee head Rodney Orale.
Veloso and Orale received hard and soft copies of financial statements, receipts, checks and vouchers from 2008 until May this year. Some of these files were also from president Ricky Dakay, which they will also give back to the new board.
"We'll just review all these audited data. It seems to me that all these administrative papers are already complete," said Veloso.
The financial statements would cover expenses incurred in the programs and tournaments handled by the former board. They also received the remaining cash balance of P82,000.
Toledo noted that the budget for last year's Aboitiz Cup had reached P1.1 million because they did not put a limit to the number of teams participating in the longest- running local football tournament.
The new board also received an entire cabinet containing files of the previous board activities, match reports and transactions prepared by its office administrator John Martin Ferrer.
These files will be kept by Veloso in the meantime as the office of the new board, the former barangay hall in Sambag, is still under renovation and will be ready for operation by the end of the month.
