Springdale starts defense with victory vs. San Isidro

DEFENDING elementary division champion Paref-Springdale started its title defense of the Private Schools Developmental League on a strong note after beating San Isidro Parish School, 39-30, in the game opener yesterday at the J Centre Mall, Mandaue City.
Leading Springdale’s assault was Sean Quitevis, who was last season’s most valuable player.
Jj Solon, Eman Yamba, Giles Benedicto and CJ Tan also contributed to the team’s victory.
Cebu International Education British School, Springdale’s runner-up last season, will be taking on the Philippine Christian Gospel School.
A total of 11 schools have taken part in the tournament.
Joining the second season were Cebu Cherish School, Living World Christian Learning Center, Mandaue Christian School, Marian Childhood Education Center, Mt. Olives Christian Academy, Saint Francis of Assisi School, Saint Louis School of Mandaue, Philippine Christian Gospel School and Paref Springdale School.
