THE top seeds marched to the next round in the playoffs round of the Sun Cellular-CSCC E-League 2012 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym last Saturday.
North Conference no.1 team Aegis Vipers had a 23-point victory over Calltek Trojans, 86-63, and South Conference’s top seeds Teletech Titans and Sykes Pioneers also advanced. The Titans escaped the SupportSave Jaguars, 69-66, and the Sykes Pioneers routed the Teleperformance Lions, 67-48.
It was a tough game for Teletech as the Jaguars dropped a solid game in the middle quarters.
Leading by eight, 22-14, after the first, the Titans suddenly lost their grip of the lead when SupportSave tightened its defense and held Teletech to just seven points to take the lead, 30-29 ,at the half.
The Jaguars took advantage of the continued offensive struggle of the Titans to build a 52-44 lead entering the final period.
However, SupportSave suddenly lost wind and the Titans pounced on the chance to advance to the next round.
Sherwin Resilla had a double-double game with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Lourenz Limpangog added 16 for Teletech.
Edmon Paradiang topscored with 15 and Edwin Dandan, Marck Campomanes and Fritz Blanes scored 14 points each in SupportSave’s final game of the season.
