17th Milo Little Olympics Visayas opens today

SOME of the best elementary and high school athletes in the region will troop to the Cebu City Sports Center for the opening of the 17th Milo Little Olympics Visayas finals today.

Team Visayas is hoping to pick the best among the thousands of athletes who will represent the region as they seek a fourth straight crown in the national finals later this year.

The set of activities today will start with the pre-judging of the Miss Milo Little Olympics Visayas in the morning followed by the opening parade in the afternoon with defending elementary overall champion University of San Carlos and high school champion University of Cebu leading the schools.


Department of Education Regional Director Dr. Rhea Mar Angtud will welcome the thousands of delegates from 300 schools in Visayas.

Don Bosco Technical Center Football Coach Glenn Ramos will lead the Oath of athletes while Vilma Veloso of Catmon Central School Elementary Volleyball Girls team will say the Oath of coaches.

After the opening ceremonies, the crowd will be treated to a cheerdance competition.
There wil lalso be awards for the Biggest delegation, most disciplined, loudest cheer and best in Saludo.
