UV, USC go 3-0 in Milo hoops

THE UNIVERSITY of Visayas (UV) and the University of San Carlos (USC) extended their dominance in the Small Basketeers Philippines division after one-sided wins in the Milo Best Center SBP/Passerelle Twin Tournament last Tuesday.
After a win over defending champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), UV followed it up with a 62-21 rout of University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R). Zachlean Quilantang led the lopsided against USJ-R with nine points.
USC, on the other hand, demolished winless Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) 59-12.
Michael Jay Cutamora and Carl Jericho Jovellanos were the top scorers of USC with 10 and nine points respectively.
SHS-AdC bounced back with a 33-22 win over Cebu Eastern College, with Rubick Bacao scoring 13 points.
Both UV and USC are at the top of the ladder with identical 3-0 slates. SHS-AdC is at third with 2-1, followed by USJ-R at 1-1. Both CEC and DBTC are at the bottom with 0-3 records.
