CEBU Insurers Club Inc. (CICI) will hold the Insurers Green Run on Nov. 11 at the Sumilon Road, Cebu Business Park.
The run aims to promote environmental awareness and the effects of climate change to students and to the public as well. It also encourages insurance practitioners to engage in an active lifestyle such as running activities.
CICI is a group of non-life insurance companies with offices operating in Cebu and has among members agents, agencies, brokers and loss adjusters.
There will be 20K, 12K, 6K and 3K categories.
The longest distance is one kilometer short of featuring a half-marathon but CICI President Neil Ceniza is still confident that runners will sign up for this race category.
“Maybe we can treat it as a 1K bonus to runners,” said Ceniza.
Registration, which is at P300 for all divisions, is ongoing and will end on Nov. 9.
Runners may sign up at RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu, Toby’s SM Cebu and all non-life Insurer offices.
A total of P75,000 worth of cash prizes will be given away to the top finishers in all categories.
The top 10 finishers in the 20K will get prizes, with the champions getting P7,000
each.
The second and third placers, will get P5,000 and P3,000 respectively.
In the 12K, the winners will get P3,000, while the next two finishers will get P2,000 and P1,000 respectively.
