SWU Cobras gun for fourth win against USC

DEFENDING champion Southwestern University (SWU) Lady Cobras face University of San Carlos (USC) in the women’s division of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. volleyball tournament this Saturday the USC Gym.
SWU, which holds a 3-0 record will be fielding Danika Gendrauli, Rhapril Aguilar, Loida Abellana, Al Sheree Eupena, Necca dela Llana, Neresa Villanueva, Evan Genergue, Jerra Pacinio, Charrylou Paden, Razel Taculod, Marlyn Llagoso and Anna Sabanal as they gun for their fourth win in their 1 p.m. match against USC, which is undefeated in two games.
On the other hand, the SWU girls team will also try to extend its run as it faces the University of Cebu (UC) in the first game at 8 a.m.
The SWU girls’ team shocked 10-time champion team of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) in their first game of the tournament last weekend in a five-set thriller.
USPF, which is trying to get its campaign back on track, will face defending champion University of San Jose-Recoletos in the second game.
In the third game, USC will also try to lodge a win against Sacred Heart School-Ateneo De Cebu.
In the men’s collegiate division, winless Cebu Doctors’ University and the Cebu Institute of Technology-University will face each other, while the University of the Visayas takes on UC.
