Seno looks to extend dominance

CEBU’s rising young junior netter Jan Godfrey Seno will try to extend his dominance in Circuit II of the Babolat Junior Tennis Circuit on Oct. 5-9.
The boys’ division will be played at the Cebu International Tennis Center Inc. (CITCI) Laray, Consolacion, while the girls’ division will be at the Mactan Island Tennis Courts in lapu-Lapu City.
Thirteen-year-old Seno, who won the 14-under boys title in the Gen. Santos Leg, will be facing a tall order against top seed Eric Olivarez Jr.
Seno was named as the most valuable player last weekend after he swept three titles in the 18-under, 16-under and 14-under boys in the Philta-Palawan Pawnshop Regional Age-Group Championships at the Cebu International Tennis Center in Consolacion, Cebu City last Sunday.
Aside from Olivares, other top players in the country who have confirmed their participation are 12-under top seed Jacob Martin 12-under girls top seed Rafaela Villanueva, 14-under girls No.3 Ma.Dominique Ong and No.4 Maia Balce.
The Cebuanos will be represented by Kristin Renee Salimbangon, Jana Pages, Zethley Mae Alferez, Mai-Mai Bornia and Xandra Joie Tabotabo.
