Kiamco beats Strickland in finals

CEBUANO cue artist Warren Kiamco outlasted Earl Strickland, 9-7, to rule the Predator Tour Open division last Sunday in New York.
Kiamco, who also won the Houston Open last Sept. 28, also defeated Danny Lee in the semifinals en route to pocketing the $3,025 top purse.
After the New York event, Kiamco will be flying to Virginia to play in the $200,000-rich US Open on Oct. 21 to 27.
Kiamco will be joined by compatriots Carlo Biado, Ronato Alcano, Francisco Bustamante, Israel Rota, Santos Sambajon, Ramon Mistica and Dennis Orcollo.
“The US Open is considered as the longest running and most prestigious 9-ball event in the world, said Bugsy Promotions head Perry Mariano, who is managing Orcollo and Biado along with Taiwanese stars Chang Jung-Lin and Ko Pin-Yi. (PR)
