Visitors rule Day 1 of Sta. Lucia Tour

TEAM Davao Eagle of Rancho Palos Verdes set the pace in the first round of the Cebu leg of the Santa Lucia Golf Tour at the par-72 Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo.
Davao Eagle scored a total of 141 points in the four-man team event where only the three best scores for the day are counted.
Joel Yamyamin led the team with 48 points, while Victoriano Gonzales added 47 and Tamio Sakurai had 46. The fourth member of the team, Eduardo Wee, scored 33 points, which did not count.
Running second in Division 1 is Alta Vista’s team 1 and Team Bravo of Royale Tagaytay with 135 points each.
Alta Vista’s team had Dennis Canoy shooting 48 points and Loloya Sabuga making 46.
The last to count was either of the 41s submitted by Masahisa Kawakami and Ed Acain.
Team Bravo was led by Martin Guiang with a two-over-par 52 points and also counting were Mario Pradil 43 and Oscar Disepeda 40. (PR)
