EXCITEMENT rises as the Cebuano basketball fans wait for the out-of-town game between the Alaska Aces and San Mig Coffee Mixers for the 37th PBA Philippine Cup on Nov. 10 at the Hoops Dome in Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.
According to the event organizers, only the General Admission and few Upper Box tickets are available at the ticket outlets in Chris Sports in Ayala, SM City-Cebu and SM City-Consolacion, Hoops Dome, Lapu-Lapu City Hall and Fairchild Coop.
“Only the general admission and few upper box tickets are left on sale. The ringside and lower box are all sold out,” said Jane Bentulan of Chris Sports.
Asila Malazarte of Enya Ideals announced that there will be 120 police officers who will be deployed to man the traffic from the first Mandaue-Mactan Bridge to the Hoops Dome and provide security at the venue.
Malazarte also assured that they are selling tickets only up to the venue’s seating capacity.
“On our first promotion at the Hoops Dome, it was trial and error. Last November we sold more tickets but we have learned our lesson. This time, we are selling tickets only up to the venue seating capacity of less than 7,000,” Malazarte stressed.
Alaska is set to arrive on Nov. 8, while San Mig Coffee are scheduled to plane in on Nov. 9.
The first time these two teams met was a blowout win for the Mixers, 103-83, last Oct. 5.
