IT WAS another day of routs in the first Aboitiz Cup action for the year as three teams scored at least seven goals at the Aboitiz Sports Field yesterday.

Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) A debuted in the Boys 17 division in spectacular fashion with a 10-0 rout of Blessed John FC, handing Blessed John its second straight loss by at least 10 goals.

On the other hand, it was a different story for SHS-AdC Team B as it got on the wrong end of a 7-0 rout from Mandaue Tecnnical Institute, for its first loss of the tournament.

In the Boys 12 division, SHS-AdC A demolished Hijas de Jesus, 18-0, while in the Players 8 division, the Eagles routed Consolacion, 7-1.

In the P10 division, St. John Kenty outlasted Hijas de Jesus, 4-2, while Warshockz dumped Bright Minds Active Learning Village, 7-1.

The semifinal match of the inter-company division will be played today.

Bracket A leader Innodata, which blanked Leylam, 2-0, will take on Unitech Pipe, a 1-0 winner over Accenture in the quarterfinals.

In the other semis match, Erich Rafael will face Convergys A. Rafael beat NCR, 2-1, while Convergys eliminated Timex BP, 4-1.

In the men’s open, Cebu Queen City United will face Avengers in Bracket C in its final match before facing Pachanga next week in the PFF-Smart Club Championships.
