COACH Norman Black of the defending champion Talk ‘N Text wants to sweep the best-of-seven titular series but coach Yeng Guiao of Rain or Shine said he will delay the celebation when they collide today in Game Four of the 38th Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
Guiao downplayed their chances since no team in history ever came back from a 0-3 deficit not even in the PBA.
However, he hopes to snatch one from the Tropang Texters n their 6:45 p.m. encounter.
“On Wednesday, I don’t think we will have changes in terms of game plan. We will just try to delay their (Talk ‘N Text) victory celebration. Hindi nga kami maka-isa, history pa? quipped Guiao on their chances of becoming the first team to win the title from a 0-3 deficit.
But the multi-titled coach Black does not want to waste chances and they will go all-out to sweep the series and notch their third straight All-Filipino crown, the first team to do so in more than 30years.
“We will go for the championship on Wednesday. With our 3-0 advantage, we are putting purselves in a good position to get the championship,” said Black, who is aimingfor his 11th career title as a coach, including a grand slam with SanMiguel Beer in 1989 and sixth overall for the Tropang Texters.
