Lapu to host SBP event

LAPU-Lapu City is given priority to host the national finals of the Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas (SBP)-sanctioned Sinclair Paints Basketball Super League 2013 U-22 tournament, which will conclude in June.
This came after a team from Lapu-Lapu City won the national title on the first Super League in 2011. The other contender for the national finals hosting is Quezon City.
“For now our top priority is Lapu-Lapu City. I already talked with councilor Harry Radaza and he is very enthusiastic about hosting the national finals. However, if conflict arises our option is Quezon City,” Evangelista told Sun.Star-Cebu yesterday.
Evangelista confirmed that Sinclair Paints Super League will have a simultaneous nationwide launching city-wide tournament starting on Feb. 23.
