THE Cebu City Sports Commission will start another grassroots project that could lead to another world record feat in the coming days.
CCSC chairman Edward Hayco will spearhead today’s launching of the grassroots archery program at the Sugbo Building at the South Reclamation Properties.
“This is an addition to our city-wide grassroots sports program and in preparation for something bigger,” Hayco told Sun.Star Cebu yesterday.
CCSC is looking to add to its string of records by holding the world’s biggest archery tournament.
“This program is in preparation for our attempt for a Guinness record for (the) largest archery tournament in the world. All the details will be revealed during the launching,” Hayco added.
Currently, the world’s largest archery tournament record is held by the National Archery in School Program of the United States of America with 7,804 participating in a May 12 tournament.
