Arum, Roach see Pacquiao vs. Marquez 5

JUAN Manuel Marquez has said he won’t go for a fifth encounter with Manny Pacquiao but despite that, promoter Bob Arum and coach Freddie Roach believe the fight will happen.
Arum told Boxing Scene that Marquez’s statement was just “his idea of negotiations.”
Arum is planning another rematch between Pacquiao and Marquez this year after the latter scored a shocking sixth-round knockout over the Filipino.
Roach is certain that Marquez would jump into another fight because of the potentially huge payday at stake. He also believes that Marquez has no other option but to fight Pacquiao if he still wants to continue his career in boxing.
“What other fight for him is out there? Is he going to fight (Floyd) Mayweather again?
Can he beat Mayweather? He got killed by Mayweather. So that’s the biggest fight out there? Can he fight young guys coming up? He’ll negotiate when it gets closer, I’m not worried about that. He really doesn’t have anything else. (Timothy) Bradley and all of those other guys out there, he’s not going to get money that he would for Pacquiao,” said Roach.
“The thing is, he won the fight so he’s going to get more money. I think that this fight, because the fourth one was so exciting, this is bigger than Mayweather vs. Pacquiao right now. The third fight was boring, so not that many people were interested in a fourth. But the fourth fight may have been the best one (in the series), both ways. It was back and forth, both guys were on the deck. In this one, both of them will make a lot of money. I’m not worried about negotiations, Bob Arum will do his job.”
