THE fates of the top three teams will be known today as the 2013 Sinulog Cup Men’s Open Softball tournament enters its playoffs stage at the Labangon Elementary School grounds.
After a month of competition, the top three qualifiers—Team Wirednook, defending champion Mactan Enerzone/Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology and the Landing Boys of Landing-Lilo-an—will be batting for supremacy to determine who will be the champion of this year’s competition.
There will be no room for error this time as every win and every run is very crucial.
According to tournament director Dionisio Bacarisas, all three teams will play a round-robin playoff round.
The team that will accumulate the most number of wins will be declared the champion.
But in case of a simple tie, the winner-over-the-other rule will be applied to determine the winner.
In case of a triple-tie, the team that has the highest number of runs will win the tournament.
The men’s competition is the finale of the 35-team and 6-division tournament, which started last Jan. 6.
