Tutor beats Andrin in PhilHealth Run 18K-A A +A

AFTER losing to Lovely Fe Andrin in the Philippine Christian Gospel School Run last Saturday, Christy Tutor made sure she’ll come out on top and edged Jhean Andrin in a close finish in in the PhilHealth Run yesterday.
Tutor, a dominant figure in the local running circuit 10 years ago, finished the 18K run in 1:25:41, less than a second ahead of Jhean Andrin, to take the title. Ultra runner Virgina Parajenog got third place in 1:31:08, while Jingga Lugay finished at fourth place in 1:34:20.
Other runners who made it to the top 10 are Nora Martos (1:34:46), Malou Hermosa (1:37:05), Russell Ruiz (1:40:24), Cecilia Cabahug (1:43:11), Valerie Legan (1:46:28), and Abegail Lua (1:46:40).
Unlike the women’s division, it was a runaway finish for Isaac Simat in the men’s division as he took the title in 1:00:57, almost a full minute ahead of James Mibac (1:01:52) and Abraham Missos (1:01:56).
Noel Tillor led the locals at fourth place in 1:03:36, while Franie Canumay got fifth in 1:05:40. The rest of the top 10 finishers are Roger Saldo (1:12:36), Joshua Canada (1:18:09), Jose Baguio (1:19:47), Rosel ROmulo (1:20:08) and Renz Gabuya (1:23:27).
Mary Joy Tabal added the 10K title to her 6K crown in the PCGS after finishing in 39:14, more than four minutes ahead of Lovely Andrin. Mary Jane Beboso got third place after finishing in 49:20. In the men’s division, Josphat Kiptanui got the title
in 32:46, beating John Philip Duenas (34:02) and Jobert Carolino (34:09).
In the 5K division, Cherry Andrin took the women’s crown in 22:10, while Karla Cosep got second place in 23:04 and Michelle Beboso got third place in 24:07. Emeralde Heromislla (50:49) and Virgita Soco (53:42) got the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
In the men’s division, Joel Delposo (16:32), RObert Daang (16:44) and John Cliff Debolusan (17:37) got the top three spots.
