ORGANIZERS of the third SM2SM Run are confident that they will breach the 4,000 mark come race day this Sunday at the SM Northwing.

There are currently 3,500 runners who confirmed their participation. Organizers expect more to join since they will be reducing the registration fee for those who would like to run without singlets.

The discounted rates are P650 in the 21K open and couple category, P250 in the 6K and P150 in the 3K.

There are, however, no more slots in the 12K , which closed with 800 runners.

One of the highlights of the run, which is the Radisson Blu couples category, saw 46 pairs in the 21K and 68 in the 12K.

Race director Joel Baring emphasized the route for the 12K and 21K runners from SRP, which had a slight revision from the original route going via MJ Cuenco.

From there, runners have to turn right to Malacañang South and pass by Fort San Pedro before they go straight to S. Osmeña Avenue and all the way to the finish line.
