SACRED Heart School Ateneo de Cebu booter Carlos Berlin saved the day for Cebu Football Association as they survived the Iloilo Football Association, 2-1, yesterday in the Philippine Football Federation Visayas Football Festival in San Carlos City.
Berlin had to get past six defenders to pit the winning goal, which kept CFA's bid for the Under-13 title alive. The first goal came from Ivan Ouano from the University of the Southern Philippines Foundation.
The victory against IFA was the team’s second win.
They also won their first game against Negros Oriental Football Association, 5-1.
Meanwhile, the Girls 14 ended its run yesterday with one win and loss. The squad won over Norfa, 3-1; but surrendered to Negros Occidental Football Association (Norfa), 2-0.
It was a different story for the Under-11 squad as they bowed to Norfa in the first game, 4-1. The team will try to redeem itself today as it plays its last two games against Ifa and Nofa.
