SIX Cebuanos made it to the first tryout selections of the Under-19 football national team, also known as the Teen Azkals.
These are Christian Agot, Junjay Arizabal, Renko Gaudiel from University of San Carlos, Raphael de Guzman from University of San Jose-Recoletos, Nicolas Villacin from Paref Springdale and Carmelo Genko who is now in Italy.
The six were among the 39 that made it from the first tryout spearheaded by team manager Alvin Carranza and other coaches.
The scouting started in the Palarong Pambansa last year in Pangasinan, which was followed by tryouts in UP Diliman and BGC Turf last July that attracted 200 hopefuls.
